How do I stop spam from "me"

I'm getting spam that is addressed to me from me (my e-mail address). I can't really black list myself, so how can I stop this?

Why can't you blacklist yourself? Do you send yourself a lot of e-mail?

I think the more important issues is has your computer been infected and is it sending spam to other people. It sounds like you machine may have been turned into a zombie. Run your anti-virus and spy ware software and see if it comes up with anything.

It's a good thing to check for, but most often, not the case.

A decent spam filter is usually what's needed.

pally01, what mail service are you using (gmail, hotmail/msn, yahoo, etc), and are you using a mail client, or accessing your mail through a website?

Thanks for the replies.

Hal - actually I do send e-mail to myself. Not often, but every now and again for whatever reason.

Jester-I've run AVG, spybot, Superantispyware, Malwarebytes, Spyware blaster and Spyware terminator. All came back good. I keep my security software updated and don't really travel to many nasty sites or download apps etc.

Force Flow - I'm using Vista's Windows Mail for the most part. Sometimes I'll access my mail through webmail, but not too often. I have a gmial account, but that's not the address I'm having a problem with.

Log into webmail and go to "Options" (below the logout link) > More options

Under "junk email" click "filters & reporting". Try bumping up the spam filter a notch. Note that it might flag legit mail, so you'll have to keep an eye on it for a little while to see if you're comfortable with that setting.
