cookies and msn login
I have my cookies setting to prompt me before allowing them.
I have been logged into my homepage (mymsn.com) for what seems like years...always had these settings. Now I am being prompted to login...before I am able to enter my password, a page comes up that tells me that my cookies are disabled and that if I want to login I will have to enable them. Does any one know how to fix this problem, I cannot access my hotmail account...even when I stop the page (before the error message page comes up) it tells me that my password is not correct. I can't connect to their help center without getting the same message. I had this happen about a month ago...reset my cookie settings and logged in...then reset my settings to where they have always been. I have tried this a half dozen times with no luck... any ideas?? thanks |

figured it out
well nevermind!
I figured out what was goin on: on my homepage is a link to hotmail...this is what was prompting me for a password... whileI had the setting for "prompt before accepting cookies" enabled, I had not changed the security slider to the lowest setting. after doing this I was able to log into mymsn.com, where I removed the link (box) for hotmail...now I won't be bothered to login there again. I discovered that hotmail is experiencing some problems today, this is why I wasn't (and still am not) able to login from my home page, and also the hotmail site itself. I hope nobody else had this problem, if so, I hope this helped. ...off to solve another problem I haven't experienced yet, God knows another MUST be on the horizon!!! lol |
