internet connection

A computer for a friend keeps resetting its computer connection setting as she states below:

Quote:
problem~~I left click on My Computer,
Control Panel, Internet Properties, Connections.
the drop down box has 3 choices. It needs to be
"Always dial my default connection" but it always changes
back to "Never dial a connection".

What can she do to save the setting? She has win98 and usr 5687 modem (isa hardware).

This happens when opening up an icon for internet which is set to dial her connection as she didn't want a seperate icon to first dial with.

Thanks guys.

No ideas? Maybe she'll have to deal with a dial up icon.

There is an excellant freeware dial-up utility from www.freeturtles.com that makes it easy to manage all your dial-up accounts from a single screen and gives you a performance meter. Real easy to set up and use. Unfortunatly the site has exceeded their bandwidth for the month. So if you want a copy of it send me an e-mail address to wefullen@sycamore.com and I will e-mail a copy of this program (600kb in size)or you can wait till December 1st.
