.com domain becoming available

A friend of mine is wanting to get hold of a .com domain that produces this on whois.net

However, at the bottom of that page - and on the nameking.com whois it says:

********.COM NOT FOUND.

Anyone any ideas on when a domain like this (that seemingly has already expired) would actually become available to purchase?
