Stackhash_fd00

The past two weeks IE7 has been crashing, and telling me it can check on line for a problem, or just restart. It gives a bunch of info., but I noticed the "STACKHASH_FD00" item. I Googled it and it seems like a lot of people are having the problem, but I could not really see any solution. I am running Vista Ultimate on a Dell Inspiron 530 with 3 gig of memory. Like I said the problem only started ocurring about two weeks ago. Someone mentioned that Firefox may be the problem. I did have it on my machine, and have since deleted it, since I am used to IE. Any suggestions, Please. Mike

Did you let it check on line for a solution?
Last time I did - it spotted an add-on that was causing the error.

Yes, I clicked that option, but it just ended IE7 and restarted. It gave an error report, that I listed. Thanks for the reply.

I am currently using IE7, and would like to get it running properly.
As a last resort, I could install IE8. But would that be a complete NEW install,
or would it just UPDATE IE7, which means that the problem could continue.
Is there a way to REMOVE IE7, and reinstall ? Thanks again for the reply. Mike

EzyStvy----I believe that fixed the problem. I disabled the 6 addons that were there, and the crashes are gone the past two days. I did have to go back in and enable the Shockwave one,
but everything still seems OK. Many thanks to you, and all who offered suggestions. Mike
