Hi gang! I'm new around here and boy, am I glad I found this BB!
I have a question that I'm hoping somebody can answer. I'm a videographer/editor. Recently, I started doing some work for a client who wishes me to download video files from their FTP site. Some of the files are large (40 to 200+ megs) and when trying to download those, after a few minutes, like maybe 10-15, I get an error message saying something about timing out! I'm on a cable connection, so I don't think my connection speed is an issue. What can be done, at either their end or mine to correct this problem? Can it even be corrected? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Phil |

If you are using a router, try setting your FTP client to use "passive" transfers (PASV). Use a real FTP client, not a web browser.
