Wink IE-6 Vs IE-7 Or 8

One of the reasons I went back to using IE6 is because the save to favorites dialog is much easer to use than IE7 or 8 the other reason is IE-6 will play videos within the web browser the other versions have to open a an external video player such as windows media player. If someone knows how to customize IE7 or 8 add to Favorites dialog to behave and work like IE-6 then I am listening look at the attached picture.

Thanks

IE8 favorites looks the same way except instead of a scroll bar it's a drop down menu. Not sure about the videos.

IE6 is now a very unsecure browser and continuing to use it is going to leave your computer wide open to a large number of security vulnerabilities.
Even though you don't like it you would be well advised to update to IE8 and just get used to it, if you are adamant about staying with IE6 I strongly suggest you don't do any internet banking or shopping.

I'll have to echo what rjf is saying. You should currently be running at least IE7. It's stable and more up-to-date than IE6. IE6 has not changed since August 2004, and is vulnerable to all sorts of nasty malware out there.

If you really have to use IE at all, use IE7.

If you need a browser, I would recommend avoiding IE altogether and go with firefox or opera. IE is a magnet for malware, and out of all the service jobs I do, 90% of the time, the user had been using IE as their primary browser.

DO you think it take a longer time for IE8 to start up?

A valid question. No, there is a negligable startup time between versions. The only time that really changes is when the browser is clogged with toolbars and spyware/malware.
