Firefox 3.5 Released
Firefox 3.5 was released this morning and is available for download. I've been running it for a few hours and it does seem noticeably faster han 3.0.11.

It can easily be updated in place, just click on help - check for updates.

Just remember to check if your add-on are compatible.
I have 2 that supposedly aren't, so I'll be waiting a bit longer.

Good point shadowpr, I just noticed that the AVG 8.5 Firefox Add-On is not compatible but I'm sure AVG will update that pretty quickly.

All-In-One Mouse Gestures is not compatible. Won't be updating until it is as I can't live without my mouse gestures. What's a back button?

The things that no longer work for me are the three themes I alternated. The Glowy Blue, Wine, and Green themes I enjoyed but none are compatible. I'm sure things will change and I'll find something similar to use.

I'll probably wait a few weeks before upgrading for all the plugins I use to catch up.
A major downside of a heavily based plugin environment...

Been running it for almost a week now. The biggest difference is how much faster it is now.
I also like the open new tab button (like IE has) My personal opinion is now Firefox 3.5 is the best browser out there. I have noticed that many web based server type applications are starting to use firefox more and more. (open source rules) |
