nic settings
I am having a problem on my new box; whenever I have multiple messages in one of my email accounts, my client will hang up on the reception/deletion of the messages.
It doesn't happen with only 1-2 messages, just when there are a bunch. The only thing I have not been able to rule out is my nic settings. Everything else is set exactly as it was on my old box. my new nic has options for flow control and connection type. I have connection as autosense and the flow control set to disable. I am not sure how these are supposed to be set; my old nic didn't have any options. I am on cable, the nic is a Linksys USB job. My connection when surfing is fine, as is my email when I am dealing with 1-2 messages per account. The only trouble is when I have several sitting on the server. ?????? |

It is definately the nic, but I can't seem to solve the problem 100%.
The problem is also definatelt when trying to delete the messages off of the server.] It will work if I give it enough time, but it is ridiculously slow. I have NO other connection issues, either up or down. Anybody? |
