I just got a cable modem installed and it's very fast, I would like to get idea's for a firewall program. What are the best ones.

Zonealarm. The others pale by comparison, unless you're running XP, then take your pick of anything EXCEPT Nortons. Try Sygate, Tiny, etc...

I have been using SygatePE which is free also. The last version of Zonealarm I had seemed to have problems, sometimes not initializing or stopping altogether.

By the way, the back tracing program in Sygate is superior to Zonealarm in that it opens in the programs window and not in the browser. Also you have log windows also. |
