Someone else using our server?
I run a small LAN of 10 PC's. On the server I am using WinRoute Pro 4.1.25 as a mail server. From the mail log I can see a log of all the mail everyone on the LAN is sending. Yesterday, the following entry appeared on the log:
< adamconti@trm.de > to < mchuckmail@aol.com > put in outgoing mail que. No computer on the LAN is set up with this email address. I had the email returned to me as undelivered. Its got the subject "holidays" and the email just contains loads of numbers. Could this be a virus? I am running Norton Antivirus on the network and update the definition files on every machine every time some new ones come out. Any help as to why this happened - as its not the first time - would be much appreciated. Many thanks Richard Stoneman Last edited by CC801340; 11-21-2001 at 05:23 AM. |

I am always leery of any one word message title even if I know the sender.
