pages displayed minimized

Hello...this is my first post, so please bare with me.
i have a friend that has Win ME and when she opens a page on her browser, only
the top tool bar appears in the minimized form.all she sees are the 3 little boxes ( minimize-maximize and close) and it is randomly all over her desktop ( she has to look for it amit her icons on her desktop). is there a way to make her pages appear maximized again ?? thanks for your help.

Right click on the IE icon in the toolbar (bottom left), select "Properties." Select the "Shortcut" tab (I believe, I am doing this from memory). You'll see an option that says "run" with a menu beside it, the options should be normal window, minimized, maximized. choose "maximized" and click apply.

Hope this helps

Cool drag the edge........

thank you archie...
yes , she can do that, but its kinda annoying to have to do that everytime you
open a page, and having to look all over the desktop for the 3 little icons to
make the page appear....
thanks for your reply....

Try this ... make the window bigger but do not maximize. Close the browser and then open again. It should be the same. From then on, you can maximize but the next time it will reopen to how it was when it was bigger. There is a way to make it always maximized but I forget how that's done.

That tip doesn't seem to work when launching from a shortcut. Moving this thread from General Discussion to Internet/WWW. The solution to this is probably one of these easy answers.
