can't visit a website

I have a website that I visit everyday, sometimes several times a day...
Suddenly, last night I could not. All I get is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
To be sure there was nothing wrong with the site, I emailed one of my fellow moderators. He informed me that he had been there just a half hour before, and also the previous night. So, I tried my wife's laptop (same isp connection) and could not connect. So, it couldn't be my settings or this computer.
I'm not sure what happened, why this site is not available to my home (dial up) connection...I changed no settings, made no software changes.
I tried restoring my system to two days ago when I was able to visit the site, no change, so I restored it back. I even re-installed ie8, no change.
Is there a way to "force" ie8 to go to the site? What would keep me from going there?
any help would be greatly appreciated, I've work to do there.

Try this, it's vista but you should be able to find them...
