Hi fellow Brits!
Does anyone know the special BT number that you dial to identify the number that you are calling from? This is because we have just moved house, and have taken a BT internet and landline package. The internet is working fine, but the landline isn't. The BT help system is labyrinthine, and there is even confusion about what the number is. We get dialling tone, but can't actually dial out, and there is no answer if I ring in to the theoretically correct number. (this is the case with two different phones plugged in, so it's not a problem with the physical telephone) Thanks, Chris |

That is a line card or battery fault, I can't tell you the access number here, I'll send you a PM.
