Chrome installation problem

On my computer at work I want to change my browser from Firefox to Chrome.

When I go online to the Chrome website, Chrome downloads just fine according to Chrome. When I go to my browser Firefox, under Downloads, it does not show that Chrome downloaded. I tried IE and the same thing happens.

Whenever I download an app, instead of clicking "save" I always click "run", that way my browser downloads the .exe to a temporary file and Windows runs a quick security scan on the .exe before the install starts. This way I don't have to go and delete the .exe and it avoids wasted space.
