Long Island City NY ISP choices.
I am moving to this area by the end of the month, can anyone recommend an ISP? my budget is in the $25-$40 range. 5mb minimum. my zip code is 11101
anyhelp as always...will be greatly appreciated. Frank

You probably have 3 viable choices - cable, DSL, or fiber (FIOS or Uverse). DSL and fiber (if available) is probably Verizon. Cable depends on who the franchised operator is in your neighborhood - all the online service finders require an exact street address.

I went with RCN New York Broadband High-Speed Internet Plans and Pricing - RCN
in case somone else has a similar predicament! i will let you all know how good the service is in about a month! |

Good luck - RCN has historically been rather mediocre. Too bad you couldn't have gotten Optimum Online (Cablevision).
Although - 25 mbs service for 35 bucks a month including modem rental is a great price. |
