permantly getting rid of incoming spam?
I have a pretty good spam filter through gmail, but I still have to go through the spam messages because every now and then I get an email in there I want in my inbox. My question is: is there a way to permantly delete some of the spam messages that come into my spam folder, so when I do go through my spam there isn't so much to filter through? Most the spam comes form multiple email addresses, so is there even a way of getting most of it gone for good?
thanks for the help |

Not sure if you're saying you tried to block the email addresses or not, but you should do that if you haven't already.

I think he is asking if there is a way to make it so that specific spam URL's do not show in the spam filter at all, so that searching through the spam filter for legitimate emails takes less time.

You'd have to stop the spam at it's source to get it to not show up. Course that can't be done.

I'm pretty sure this is what the OP want's to know, if this can be done. It sounds like technically yes, it could be done, but is not offered by email providers. I would imagine that third party software could be written that goes through ones spam filter and automatically deletes URL's previously designated as spam by the client. I wonder if that exists? well, I get a ton of spam, (probably 30 messages a day) and while I realize I can't get rid of it all, i would like to cut down on the amount I get in my spam folder, because I still go through the folder every few days because I want to make sure no legitimate emails go in the spam box (which they have in the past). I'm applying for employment right now, and every now and then I get good emails in my spam folder. I usually press 'delete forever' after opening a spam message but I still get the same amount of spam. I take it, this is pretty tough to stop though...or at the very least reduce in volume? They come from different email addresses so blocking the messages only blocks the email address, not whatever the source is.

You may want to open a new e-mail account for your employment correspondence. Sounds like you have gotten your address out there in too many places to be able to do anything about it now.

I fixed all that by getting an account with Reagan.com. You pay for it but get no bs
