Question Hotmail ?

Has anyone noticed how that when you login to your hotmail account, it has a record of all the usernames that have logged in from that machine so that all you have to do is enter your password?

Any ideas on how to turn this off or clear those usernames. Also noticed that all the machines on my LAN don't do this, just certain ones.

Thanks........TH

Send a message via AIM to figarowa
delete your cookies, a previous user must have when entering their username password, a popup comes up asking if they want windows to remember their passworkd or not, clicking yes stores the username.

You can also click on the user name box and when it shows the list of names, move the mouse down to the one you want to delete, but don't click on it, just hit the delete key to remove it from the list.

I have tried deleting the browser cache and cookies both. I don't remember choosing yes to save the password or username.

I have not tried moving the mouse over the username and deleting it, but I will.

Only one of my two machines at home will save the username in the "Sign-In Name" box. The other machine nor my PC at work does this.

I'm not sure what is different with this one machine.

Thanks.

make sure auto complete is off.
From internet explorer: view> internet options> advanced> use auto complete(unchecked)

Hope this helps.

"Use inline auto complete" is checked on my work machine which so far, has not stored the user name. I'll check this on both the other machines and see if it helps.

Thanks.
