MediaOne to Comcast FUBAR

Due to the laughable fiasco bankruptcy of excite@home I will be forced to switch from MediaOne to the Comcast cable network after 3 years of solid, speedy internet. They have mailed me a new cable modem and a disk to upgrade the software. Has anyone else had to deal with this yet?

Formerly MediaOne only supported M$ Outlook Express. I use Outlook and had to enter all my pop and account info. Also I'm running a 4 PC network on Sygate. I think I will only have to upgrade the host PC to connect to the internet. Sygate will take care of the rest. I do not want to buy a new router/hub. I know I will have to change the mail settings on each PC for Outlook.

Anyone know what kind of service Comcast offers? I hear AT&T cable user got some upload and download restrictions when switched from @home to AT&T with no reduction in fee.

What a mess! This is why I pay $45/mo?
