Mail Server - Please help
Ok, here goes. I would like to run my own mail server but I have one problem. Port 25 is blocked. I have cable with a fixed ip, and I got a static dns with dyndns.org. With it I can set up a Mail Exchanger. I was wondering if anyone here has an always on connection to the internet, leaves their computer on 24/7, doesn't have port 25 blocked, and doesn't run a mail server. If so, I would be extremely greatful if you could help me out. This is what I would like to do:
1. I would set you up as my mail exchanger. 2. Then I would give you this small port forwarder program I have. You could run it hidden. What it would do is forward everything coming to you on port 25 to me on port 10. 3. Then my mail server would get the mail. I have tested this with my friend on MSN, so I know it all works. Please, if anyone could help me with this I would be very greatful. Thanx. RenegadeKing

is it not possible to change the port # in the mail server software to listen to port 10 rather than port 25. Im sure there is a way around this other than using another machine to forward to your server.

Yes it is possible. I have already tested it with one of my friends and it works.
