Need password protected web site
Ok, I need to password protect some web pages (on our internal network) at work. I had gatekeeper on the page for awhile, and it worked ok, I never really liked it. I need something simple and easy to operate, because nobody else here knows anything about html or javascript.
I am so tired of searching the free script archives, my eyes hurt. All I want is for someone to have to enter a password to get to a certain page. Thanks for any help.

Hi Cobra,
Not sure if you have looked here www.htmlgoodies.com. I done a search on passwords and a few options came up. It shows you how to set up a password for access to another webpage. Hope this helps. |

Are you running IIS? Can you make it an asp page? How much security do you need? Do you need to have alot of different passwords for different people? or only one for person to get to a special page?

if somebody got smart, those javascript password applets are easy to crack. I agree with the ASP solution.
