Currently I am using ZoneAlarm freeware, it protects well as it seems, but in it's full version it says it can tell me more specific information about any intruder, be it a cookie or a hacker.
Now there is also NORTON FIREWALL 2002, that's about $25 on ebay.com , but I don't know exactly what it can do and don't know whether it is worth buying. Does it let me see detailed info about the owner of the intruding IP address? Thanks

Just ditch Zone Alarm, Forget Norton, and go to http://www.sygate.com/ and download their free SygatePE firewall, it uses the same type of filtering that ZoneAlarm uses but has better logging and back tracing features.
