Earthlink/Port 25 question
At a friend's business, they use COMMERCE:Network as their ISP for EDI transfer. This ISP is going away and they said any new ISP chosen must "maintain support for Port 25 communications". Also, they said "Ensure your current ISP has ports 25 and 110 open".
They also have Earthlink at this business so my questions are: Does anyone know if Earthlink "maintains support for Port 25 communications"? And does Earthlink have "ports 25 and 110 open"?

both of these ports are related to email transfers (port 110 is the email server to email client port and port 25 is the email server to email server port).
I looked on Earthlink's site and they indicate that you can block port 25 traffic so from this I can only assume that port 25 traffic is open. As for port 110, outlook email woun't work without it. |
