Question funky page effect

a friend of mine who also does web design asked me how to do an effect where the page 'explodes' sort of like this: http://members.tripod.com/~Bos5/welcome.html

go to that site and then leave the page, it does this cool thing. i have no clue how they did that...does anyone know?

ps i think its ie only effect

Try here. Just keep in mind that these are generally IE only. Also it can become quite irritating once the novelty of the effect has worn off.

Agreed, if you are serious about web design you avoid those annoying effects, along with comet cursors, background MIDIs, and flashing animated gifs.
