pop3 mail on website
does anyone know how I would go about putting a html POP3 mail retrieval on my website. I have seen it on more and more websites, but have no clue where to start. My company could sure use this. Is there a software package to place on the HTTP server, script? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Please don't suggest those free sites that offer free POP3 mail retrieval, I have already been that route, and it will not work for my needs. I need to have this as part of our company website. Thank for any info!

There are a variety of webmail packages for POP3 based on the OS you use; the POP3 service you use; the scripting language you are comfortable with; the features you desire; the webserver you run and the add-ons you have installed.
When I say "you"; I am assuming that you have significant admin priveleges to work with all of the above. It also depends on the level of security you desire. It helps if you could elucidate on what you are running. If it is the NIX its simply easiest go to go www.freshmeat.net or www.phpdownloads; hotscripts.com or phpresourceindex.com and searching out exactly what you need. |

well, im running a NT4 server, with microsoft exchange 5.5, and microsoft IIS (4.0 I think) I am not very familiar with scripting languages, and have full admin rights to the server and all accounts. I was hoping that there is some type of package that I can purchase that will take out some of the confusion. If this additional information on my setup sheds any more light on the situation I would openly accept any more help. Thanks for the help so far!
