web server security
some friends and i have deiceded to write a web based game (like planetarion.com) that uses PHP and mySQL. We have the server (Apache 1.3) set up, with the basic system of PHP and mySQL up. I am currently hosting this on Windows XP HE, but will hopefully start running it on NT 4.0 . My concern is, that i have never tried a project like this before, and I want to make sure that the game is not open for hackers to come in and screw everything up. can someone give me some tips, or a link or two to a website that describes how to keep my server and the data on it safe and secure? thanks
