ok, I would like to make my own website. What languages would I need to learn, in order to make a good-looking website....nothing too advanced, but no geocities thing..... I basicly just need to know where to start.....

I second that about the WYSIWYG editors. I'm old school....I write HTML using free and easy to use Notepad. I do however use Arachnophilia to spell check, beautify, and make sure I didn't miss any tags.

To learn basic HTML only takes about a week, there aren't that many commands and you don't need many tools. You'll see that you never really stop learning, every day you find another tag or trick.

ok, I got the server thing worked out also. My dads company has one, and he doesnt care if I put my site on it...so Ill do that....what software do I need to get, to make my page. I got paintshop pro, and I know you can use the notepad...anything else...
