Boom Ie 6

A couple of weeks ago my IE 6 began loading slower down to a crawal. I am using a cable modem and until then it was very nice. It seems that after it finally gets to a page it does alright but takes forever to load the page. I have tried many tweaks and some have helped, but so far nothing has helped speed up the loading of the first window.

I have not loaded any new software during that period or hardware.
I was wondering if re-installing IE 6 Would help?

I am running XP Pro, on an Abit Kt7a with a TB 1.0gh chip, 512 Ram, Plexator cdr-rw, Hatichi DVD, 2 Maxtor 30gig harddrives.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank You

Ron

Just go to the System Tools menu and choose the Repair IE option and let it do the rest.
