Does AOL slow down your new ISP connection?
I recently ditched AOL 7.0 for Earthlink dial up and I love it. So much faster and more reliable...
Anyway, I have heard rumors that AOL slows down you internet connection because it installs things that slow down your other ISP. Is it this true? The tech-support guy I called at Earthlink said that AOL can corrupt some of your files and he recommended deleting it completely. Should I delete AOL completely? |

Unless you are going to go back to AOL remove it and remove the AOL dial up adapters from the network properties as well.

It's not so easy to uninstall AOffLine, if you want FULLY to get rid of AOffLine off your PC, best option is to use this key:

I remember reading (last year) that there was a pending class action lawsuit, alleging that a reformat was needed to remove AOL. Never heard anymore. Good luck on uninstalling, but if you're cruising along ok now, might think twice about uninstalling. It may take something you need (like url.dll).
