internet explorer problems.......
i got this email a couple weeks ago, thinking it was from someone i knew, and it ended up being a bunch of porn/spam/whatever the hell....anyways, here are the problems:
it set the homepage to a porn site and grayed out the three buttons for changing the homepage... also, it has its link in the address bar, and no matter how many times i've "cleared the history/location bar" from the 'tools > internet options' menu, it's still there. basically, even with a clear bar, every time i type in "www.y", it fills it in with "www.younghotteen......." (you get the idea). any suggestions on how to fix either of these would be great... by the way, i went to 'internet options > programs > reset web settings' and my homepage is back to msn.com or something, but the buttons are still grayed out... |

Your problem may be taken care of with a registry entry. I don't know what it is, but someone here will beable to help you.
Carl Also, there is a chance to repair if you're running Ie browser. Go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Internet Explorer> Click remove. A window will pop up giving the options of repairing. Click that. Carl Last edited by Kubie; 02-17-2002 at 10:29 PM. |

I don't usually refer folks to other forums, but the fix can be in many forms. The link below should do the trick:

Ah, the old "I got it as an e-mail and when I accidentally clicked on it I got hijacked and taken to a porn site where I was forced to watch porn for fourteen hours straight story."
Now I'm trying to keep my wife from finding out so how do I cover my tracks routine. Yep, been there done that.
