How do I post pics on the Web?
I guess I am asking...how do I post pictures on the internet so that I can link back to them?...say to put a picture on the message board or something...or just have a hyperlink to them? What services or sites are there that I can do this with? I don't really know much about putting pictures up on a server or however you do it (if you couldn't tell) and I was just wondering where everbody has their pictures hosted. I.E.: How can I put a bunch of the pictures I have on my computer onto the internet so that I can give someone a link to view them? Let me know if this doesn't make any sense. Thanks!

Hi DRMsMR2,
Some message boards (like PC Mech) allow you to upload pictures along with your post, but there is a size limit. Another way is to use a free web or photo hosting service like GeoCities or photoisland.com to host your images, you can then link the pictures from there.

If you want you can go to www.register.com and register a .com or other this usually costs about 35.00 a year. Then you will need to get a web host provider to host your site you can find one for about 7.95 a month on up. I prefer having my own web site because it gives me more flexibility.

Be careful about using some of the online picture places. Some of the companies have gone belly up and the pictures became not available after that. So if you do make sure that you also have copies on your local hard drive.

I use imagestation.com. I've loaded 300+ pics & still haven't run out of space (at least, not that I know of...)

Doteasy.com is completely free unless you want FrontPage Extensions.
