Angry Fire Microsoft IE 5 question

i need some help!!!!

i would like to know how i can get rid of (FOREVER) something on my toolbar. i can get rid of it by right clicking the toolbar and by unchecking where it says 'accessory', but when i open a new browser it comes back again!!!

i have checked my programs (since when you surf the net especially for MP3s you might unknowingly download a program) and there is nothing that i can delete to get rid of this crap!

something similiar happen before and all i did was delete the program in my add/remove program and thats what it took!! this one is harder to get rid of i guess!!!!!!!!!!

to help you visualize what it might looking like, it of course covers the entire toolbar and it has (to name a few) News, Gaming, computers and when you click on one of them it takes you to a site called lop.com which is some crap search engine.

also when i type something in the address bar and misspell something it usually takes me to usual auto/search page telling me i misspelled or that the website is not available but NOW it takes me to lop.com and when you misspell it again then an error message comes. (not the usual not available page)

anyways hope anybody reading this can help out

any advice would be appreciated

'my fingers are getting numb'

peace

IE5 Question

Sounds like you got some spyware!!

It does not sound familiar [I've been hit with a couple like doubleclick, flyspot or some variation] but if yiu can not find the program in the Add/Remove control panel, try one of the spyware removers. LavaSoft's AdAware works very well and is free. There are others. You can look in CNet's Download.com, for example. Good luck.

Talking

SUCCESS, SUCCESS!!!!

i tried your 'Ad-ware' and that did not help get rid of the stupid thing on my toolbar but it did help with eliminating 47 different spyware software that i unknowly had on my computer!

If anybody is interested on how i got rid of the 'add-on' on my toolbar read further if not then get out of here (hehehe)
i had to go to the source which is lop.com>looking under FAQ>download their uninstall program>and finally uninstall it!!
sounds easy but it wasn't!!!

those guys really suck!

i guess a little word of advice is due now (of course

if your computer/software is giving you problems don't out-smart yourself to fix it! use common sense, it might be something simple after all!

peace
