i need help msn problem,

U knw msn messenger, well i love it & it is absolutely p--ing me off (sorry) i need help. it used to run fine,u knw log in with in a few seconds but now it won't log in at all just says im not connected to the internet though im typing now arnt i!! U have any solutions or knw y its happening, its like after a few weeks the program slowly begins to stop working, when i reformated my hard drive it worked again, but im not doing tht again, i ve reinstalled it many a time even older versions but i can't win plz help!!
