Browser Problem IE6.0

I have a problem with IE6.0, has been running fine. Just lately I have notice that when I select a link that will open another browser window, the second window will not respond at all. When I come here to pcmech, if I would click on one of the last 10 posted topics the browser window will open and show the exact same thing that is in the first window. If I try to click on a link with-in the second browser window all it will do is make a “ding” sound and nothing happens. What setting would I need to change or what can I do to fix this problem?

Oh yea, the other thing I noticed is that now when I download something using winzip, I use to be able to click the open folder tab to view the file I just downloaded, and now nothing happens when I click open folder, the winzip interface just closes and the folder will not come up.

I noticed the two problems about the same time.
