Downloading files and programs
This problem just started recently. I have an 800MHZ Pentium III with 128 MB Ram, use Windows 98 SE & IE 5.5. Whenever I download a file or program it downloads about 50-55% and then stops downloading stating that the download is complete. Is there an adjustment or something somewhere that I can make to correct this problem. I use AOL and a dial-up connection. The problem just began in the last few days. I don't use a download manager. Would appreciate someone's help. Thank you.

Hi Skywaynights,
I'd do a full virus scan then check for spyware and trojans. Clean out the Temporary Internet Files or browser cache folder and clean out the c:\Windows\Temp folder. Contact AOL and see if they are having any problems on their end. Make sure your modem does not have a IRQ conflict with any other device. You might want to reinstall the AOL software and see if that helps. Cricket

I'd bet my gaming fingers that it's a gAyOL problem. Have a buddy that uses it and he's had the same problems lately.
