I have a question; I recently had a http serverproggie called analogX simple server; with this prog I could set up a simple webpage, en my local comp.
not to fancy; consider the speed, witch isn't all that... but my isp, don't like the fact that I do this; and I got a email from them, that I have to stop doing this, or i loose my account there... With FTP server; (also forbidden) I have a proggie, that let me decide, which port nr I take; so no problem here; Is there a proggie for http; that let me do the same?? If I'm well informed; http default port nr is 8080? BTW I use Win 98 SE, and a 200Mhz CPU, and 32 Mb Ram. Thx in adv.. |

If your ISP has complained it meant that you had a lot of traffic to your IP. If that is the case, no amount of port changing will help you They run port scans to a lot of ports.
