Disabling Explorer Password for Content Advisor.
How do you disable a Supervisor Password in Internet Explorer 5.0 if you don't have a password to get in with the first place?
Bottom line is, the password is disabled in Internet Explorer under Tools/Internet Options/Content The Content Advisor says Disable and if you click Disable or Settings you once again get a prompt for a password. The client says no one ever entered a password and whehter he is lying or not though I believe he may not have been aware that someone sneaked one in, my big question is how do we get in to disable it? Here is more detail for those with more questions... This computer is able to get on line but once we try to get on the internet by typing any www.whateversitename.com using aol v5,v6 and v7 we get an error that "Content Avdisor will not allow you to see this site". This page may contain one or all of the following...and in the box it says "This page does not have a rating". And on the bottom it says "If you still want to see this site, someone must type in a Supervisor password". etc. Again, how can he disable the Supervisor Password without having a password in the first place? Thanks Dave |
