Hi all!
Small problem...I can live with it but its got me confused. In IE my Favorites list was getting way too long so I added some folders and organized the files that way. Prob is this; the icons beside the links reverted back to the little icon of the white page with the blue "e" on it instead of the others. For example, PcMech used to have a cute little blue computer icon beside it that said "PcMech" on the black screen. Now *poof* they're gone. I tried the "Change Icon" button in their properties but it only gives like four generic icons, not the ones that were there before. Anyone got any ideas on this or know where they went? |

hey juppy, i'm not really sure why they go away. i posted with this exact same question a few weeks ago...but i found a little permanent fix myself. i'm using XP, so i hope it works in whatever you're using.
when i add a bookmark and notice they give one of those icons, i explore my local disk drive. under documents and settings/ my user name/ local settings and lastly temporary internet files. you'll see a big list of files. sort them by type. there will be a block of them that are .ico images, usually named favicon.ico. basically i copy those and put them all in an easy to find folder like My Pictures. then when you are in the properties of your favorite trying to change the icon, you can hit browse instead of using ones they give you. just browse to the folder where you copied your icons. one note you may have to rename some of them after you copy them into My Pictures or whatever folder you choose, so you dont overwrite ones you just put in there. |

Thanks poops, I'll give that a try. I'm still using Win95 (I'm too cheap to upgrade
) but it might work with it. Sounds possible anyway. Thanks again.
