IIS 5.1 Passwords

I have IIS 5.1 on Windows XP Pro and want to give some users access to one
part of a website and not the other using thier usernames and passwords.
How can i do this, please help.

Hi,

Since you're using IIS,I suggest that you use a ASP script to do the task.

Put the separate parts of the web sites in different virtual directories, configure IIS to use the OS permissions and then set the permissions on the folders to what you want. Those parts that are for everyone, set the permissions to "everyone". Those that are restricted, set the permissions to the usernames of those who are allowed access.
