Wireless router with Verizon DSL

Having a BIG problem getting my Dad's home network set up. He had a Linksys Wi-Fi router with 4 port switch that was working quite well under Cox.net, but, since he has switched to Verizon Online DSL, it wont work at all. After 2 hours with Linksys on the phone, they had no idea either.

He has a desktop PC and a laptop. Both run Win98 SE, desktop uses an FMI NIC cards. The desktop is hardwired to the Router, and the laptop uses the wireless PCMCIA card.

So, anyone have any experience with a SPECIFIC wireless rounter on Verizon DSL? Just trying to find one that works.

Thanx

Cool

I have cable modem and a SMC router. SMC instructions for setup is different for cable and DSL. With cable modem I logged into router and under WAN type I changed to Dynamic Address (Obtain an IP address from ISP automatically), and put in Host name provided by my cable provider.

SMC instructions for DSL are to set IP addrerss to Static and key in the IP address (WAN address not the LAN) provided by ISP.
