Address Bar vs Favorites
This is a little weird so lets see if someone can give me an aswer.
I have a friend making a website for a new high school. It has to do mainly with football as he and my son will be coaches. If I save the site in favorites, the whole page doesn't load. The menu is not shown on the left side of the page. If I go to the site via the address bar, the page works as it should. The page is still under construction but is just lacking some updates. Why won't the page work when usong favorites? Here is the working link followed by the link from favorites. http://www.pitmanfootball.com http://www.pitmanfootball.com/right.html Carl |

Hi Carl,
I just added the site to my Favorites and it works fine. Did you add the site to your Favorites by right clicking on the page and selecting "Add to Favorites..." by any chance? If you did, then it only add the page that you right clicked on, and since the site uses frames it only added the right side. Next time just use the Favorites->Add To Favorites option and it will add the main index page. Hope that helps.

DrZaius,
Worked like a charm. Of the thousands of websites I've saved, I have never had that problem. Thats why I asked. Thanks again!! Carl |

DrZaius,
I contacted the webmaster and he already added the proper language so it will save to Favorites by right-clicking the page. Carl |

Hi Carlgif,
You may already know this but you can also add to your Favorites menu by using Ctrl-D after the page loads. I usually do it this way and have never had any problems...yet (knock on wood).

juppy,
No, I didn't know that. Nice to have different options to do the same thing. Found out that the webmaster set the site up that way for some reason I can't explain. Works now and thats what counts. Thanks for the input. Carl |
