JUNG2, you need to know 4 things.

username
password
pop3 server address
smtp server address

Armed with those 4 things in outlook/outlook express

click tools --> accounts --> add --> mail

and follow the wizards instructions.

I did that already but I'm still getting error message "Connection to the server has failed blah blah blah..... At home my POP3 = ite.net same with my SMTP. I was wondering if I have to get the actual value of IP address...

Does it fail on send or receive?

In general, if you use a different internet provider, you need to use the SAME POP3 server but a *different* SMTP server. The SMTP server is basically a "drop box" for mail; you should use whichever one corresponds to the ISP that you're using, or else they're likely to refuse to accept outbound mail.

Inbound mail uses the username/pass and the POP3 server, so as long as these are correct you should be able to read mail, but not send any.

There are a couple of things further that you need to know .. Is it really a POP3 server? If it is; is it on port 25. Some ISPs change the POP3 port for security reasons. If you're using OE, you can check the POP3 port by going to the advanced tab of your mail account.
A simpler way to do it might be to open a Hotmail account, and try filling in your POPmail details and check mail using it.
Other problems that might exist are the username: check to see if you have to enter the domain name .. for example user username might not be jung .. it might be jung@domain
In addition, you should also check whether the mail server will allow u to check mails if the IP address of the client computer doesnt match a certain parameter. Its just a security feature.

Also some providers will not allow you to access email from connections other than their own. MY company is one! You have to access the internet using their service or they will not allow you to access your mail account.
