Hi Jung2,
You have to register your page with all the search engines. Each search engine has a register your website page - you just have to find them! It can take a considerable amount of time for your page to show up. I was registered with Microsoft for nine months before I could find my page! |

First you need to use keywords that someone can use to search for your website (your name for example). All the list a number of keywords in the meta tags of your website
eg ^META name="keywords" content="jung2, computers, personal profiles, students, Africa, web design"^ **replace the "^" at the begining and at the end of the meta with "<" and ">" signs After listing all the keywords someone can use to search for your website, u need to submit it to serach engines like yahoo, google, altavista etc. Here's a nice place u can do that, http://www.tiac.net/users/seeker/searchenginesub.html http://www.submitplus.com http://www.searchenginewatch.com http://www.101big.com/search_engine/default.htm It takes a short while (about 1-2 weeks or more) before u can search and get results for your site immediately once u submit it to the search engines since the webcrawler _________ [Morpheus] |

Metatags are a bit overrated these days. A lot of sites don't really use them any more. If you do use metatags, here are the two that you should have in the head section of your page:
<Meta name="description" content="Short description of your site"> <Meta name="keywords" content="jung2, yadda, yadda, yadda"> You should also have Jung2 in the <Title>Jung2, site description</Title> |
