domain name renewal

My domain name will be up for renewal this summer and I have already received advertizements. Are there any issues that I need to make sure of with regard to compatibility with my ISP or should I just get the most inexpensive renewal offered?

I have a web site and 2 email addresses provided by my ISP.

Not too much of a problem if you own the domain. If you use any other registar than the one that you were originally registered with, then you will have to transfer your domain to your new registar. Usually it is relatively painless. That can depend upon the registar though. Just make sure that you do it at least a month before the domain expires.
