Visited Website Log file?

Hey guys/gals...I posted this in another forum, but this one might be better...

Where is the log file that secretly records what websites you have been too? I had someone using my PC and now there are a bunch of downloaded files, but he deleted history and the temp internet files... but I knwo there must be a log file hidden deep somewhere....anyone know where to find it? (Internet Explorer 6 on both Win 98 and a Win 2000 system((network)) )

Any ideas??

There is no such file that I am aware of. If they deleted the temp files and history you cannot tell where they have been. Well I am sure there is a way, but it would be expensive or time consuming. If you have auto complete for web pages enabled you may be able to guess. Clear your address bar and type an "a", see if anything comes up, then "b" and so on through the alphabet. If you see something interesting go check it out. Might work.

On a side note, there is no need to double post here. Most members check all the forums. Even if you put it in the wrong place it will get moved or answered anyway.
