Whats your system specs. There are many reg tweaks out there to help windows utilize the broadband connection better. Try some from here www.speedguide.net The tweaks I ran sped up my cable connection quite a bit. There are many there just look for those that would help your OS. Hope that helps, DB

Cool

I had same problem with cable and WIN98 when I first got cable access. Went to www.pcpitstop.com and ran test and installed recommended patch and speed easily doubled.

Confused, exactly what patch did you install, and what did it "patch up"?

Cool

It was a download from pcpitstop and it increased my receive bufffer to about 64,000. Probably made a registry change.

RWIN - that's what I thought. I use DrTCP rather than jacking with the Registry myself, which is what it does.

Cool

Glad it worked for you Blankman. I tout pcpitstop every chance I get. I think WIN9X, possibly ME are the only MS's software affected. XP ran fast from the load.

Might wan't to try dslreports.com also. I have a 512/sec connection and actually run at around 756/sec using their speedtest and drtcp.
