Restoring Internet Explorer downloads

In the event of needing to reinstall Windows 98 or 2000, is it possible to restore IE downloads i.e Service Packs or Security Updates that have already been downloaded & installed on to Windows, without having to download them again?

You have now discovered one of the nice uses of a disk imaging program like Drive Image or Norton Ghost!

Ray, I have just purchased and installed Drive Image. So if I copy my Windows directory to another partition, could I selectively restore the Internet Explorer part or would it have to be the entire image?
