I'm gonna go with ASP but....
I've found an ASP forum script that I want to use on my home server. It uses an access 2000 database. After setting it up I try to run it and it just shows me the script, not the forum.
Will I need a special program to run the *.asp files from my home machine? jalbes |

not totally sure on this, but asp files should be able to view in web browser. what server program are you using?

using simple server, Download is at www.analogx.com.
I dunno, I heard that you need an asp host!?! jalbes |

i think that you need to be running a server that supports it. i learned this a while ago but cant remember. i -think- it was a certain microsoft pgm you need to use, other people probably know better. sorry

which os are u using? try pws in win9x or iis in 2000/xp. they should be on your windows disc

I believe you'll need Microsoft IIS (aka. PWS like erucader mentioned) to host .asp files. It comes with Windows 98SE, Windows 2000, and Windows XP Prof.

k I installed the IIS from my Win XP pro disk, now what specifically am I looking for to configure. like what program am I opening and etc...
Please be fairly explanitory, this is my first time setting this up. Thanx. jalbes |
