Internet Explorer 6.0

Is there a way to set up IE so the places you have gone will not show up in History?

I Go to: tools > Internet Options > general tab > delete cookies, delete history, and change the number to 1.
Nothing happens I go to 5 places and there are 5 places listed.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Steve

Streams,
I use IE6 and have history set to zero. There are sites in the drop down that are a week old.
In Win Explorer>History folder, there are only the sites I visited today. Weird!!

It seems that there is a little bug here because a friend of mine and I have seen this happen. Even after deleting the history files they still show up.

i think they still show up because they are kept in the windows history, whereas if that gets cleared i think they go away. the easiest way to clear it is right-clicking on the startup taskbar, go to properties, click on start menu programs, and clear the documents menu. this also clears recenlty visited folders and recently ran programs from the windows history.

This is free, I use it (not trying to hide, though) and others like it as well. It's easier than using DOS commands and cleans what IE leaves behind:
