Outlook Express Messages received in wrong folder

Not all the incoming mail messages are received in the Inbox. Some messages in OE 5.5 are received in the Deleted Items folder! Can't find any explanation on the MS$ KB .

Question Check your rules

Have you checked your rules for those messages ? It could be that the ones being misdirected have the same header or rule as ones you want to delete?

Do you have any message-handling rules in place? They may be automatically deleting some of your incoming messages.

Never used OE but Outlook has rules that can be set up to automatically delete mail if you ask it to. Check to see if there are any "junk" or "adult" mail rules set. Or any rules at all for that matter.

Hope that helps.

That was the problem alright! There was one e-mail account in OE that was blocked.
Thanks again for your help.
